Delivery Information

At Garden Benches Direct we offer economy and assembled delivery services on all our benches when delivered to mainland UK addresses. Individual accessories are offered with free next working day delivery to mainland UK locations. Memorial plaques qualify for free delivery and will take up to seven working days to arrive when delivered to mainland UK addresses. Delivery timescales will vary between our different product ranges so please see below for a full list of terms and exclusions.

Free Standard Delivery

Our benches are available with next day working day delivery at no extra cost and will arrive by pallet. Dates for our standard next day working day delivery service are available on orders placed before 2pm. Weekends and public holidays are not classed as working days. Orders placed on a Friday before 2pm should arrive on the following Monday. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday should arrive on the following Tuesday.

Exclusions

Whilst we do everything we can to get your order delivered as per our estimates, we cannot guarantee that our couriers will deliver within the specified timeframe. The delivery date is an estimate only which can be affected by courier service delays, product availability, weather and delivery location. If you are having your garden bench professionally assembled we highly recommend waiting until you have received your bench before arranging a fitting date with your contractor. We cannot be held responsible for contractor’s costs if delivery is delayed. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.

Mainland Order Exclusions

Parcels

All of our accessories will be delivered by parcel and qualify for free next working day delivery when ordered individually. However, if ordered with a larger item, they will be included in the pallet delivery and subject to the same timescales.

Pallets

All garden benches are delivered by pallet because of their weight. 

Mixed Delivery

If you purchase a mixture of parcelled items and palleted items (e.g. a small accessory and a bench), the smaller item will be included within the pallet delivery. Items may still arrive separately if they are being dispatched from different locations, but no extra charges will apply.

 

Highlands & Islands Exclusions

Parcels & Pallets

Our delivery calendar will not be available for Highlands & Islands addresses because timescales and charges may vary for remote locations. Please give our Sales team a call directly for a quote and for further delivery information. Postcodes that are not listed on our delivery chart  are classed as Highlands & Islands locations. If you are unsure whether your address is listed, ring us on 0330 880 7007.

Mixed Delivery

For orders that include a mix of parcel and pallet delivery items, please be aware that items may arrive separately if they are dispatched from different locations. Carriage charges and delivery timescales vary depending on location, so please call us for pricing and to arrange a suitable date for delivery.

 

Order Tracking & Delivery Process

When you place your order, you will immediately receive order confirmation by email. Please note that for security reasons all deliveries must be signed for. Make sure that you or a trusted neighbour will be on hand to sign for the delivery.  If there is anything we need to know before delivery is attempted – for instance if access to your property is difficult for large vehicles – please contact our customer service team. Please be aware that a failed delivery may incur a redelivery charge, particularly in the case of pallets.

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged item please let us know within 48 hours so we can organise a replacement.

 

Parcel Delivery

Our parcel delivery service is a standard doorstep delivery service; our couriers will not be able to carry deliveries into your property or upstairs. You will need to be on hand to collect and sign for your delivery from the entrance of the building. Please be aware of this when choosing a delivery date.

Pallet Delivery

Our garden benches will be delivered kerbside via pallet. Unfortunately, the courier drivers are not insured to help you carry the items into your home or garden. We strongly recommend having a second person on hand to help you carry your items.

Delivery Times

Items are usually delivered between the following times:

Parcels

Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Pallets

Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
